To help us resolve your issue as quickly as possible, please include:
- Your Clinchr username or the email address on your account
- Your device type (iPhone or Android) and operating system version
- The app version (visible at the bottom of the Settings screen)
- A clear description of what you were doing and what went wrong

2. Account & Login Help
2.1 Forgot password
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link by email. Open the link on the same device where Clinchr is installed and you'll be taken straight into the app to set a new password.
2.2 Didn't receive the password reset or sign-up email
Please check your spam or junk folder first. If you still can't find it, email [email protected] from the address on your account.
2.3 Delete my account
You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete Account in the app. This action is irreversible and removes all your workouts, photos, achievements, friendships, and any gym ownership records. If you held a claimed gym, the gym becomes claimable by other users.
2.4 Export my data (GDPR)
From Settings → Export My Data, you can download a JSON file containing your profile, workouts, achievements, friendships, kudos, and comments. This is your right under GDPR Article 20 (data portability).
2.5 Sign in with Google or Apple
You can sign in with Google or Apple from the login screen. If you previously created your account with email and password, signing in with a different method will create a new account. To keep using your existing account, please continue signing in the same way you originally registered.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
3.1 Manage or cancel my subscription
Clinchr subscriptions (Gym Premium and Coach Premium) are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To manage or cancel:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Clinchr
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Clinchr
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to premium features until then.
3.2 Restore my purchases
If you've previously subscribed and the app no longer shows your premium status (for example, after reinstalling), open Settings → Restore Purchases. The app will verify your purchase history with Apple or Google and reactivate your subscription.
3.3 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google directly, not by Clinchr. To request a refund:
- Apple: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow the steps for the relevant purchase.
- Google: Visit play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory and request a refund within the eligible window.
If you believe you were charged in error and the store can't help, email [email protected] and we'll do our best to assist.
4. Gym Ownership & Coaches
4.1 Claim ownership of my gym
To claim ownership of a gym, you must first be a member of that gym. Open the gym's detail page in the app, tap "Claim this gym," and follow the steps to start a Gym Premium subscription. Only one user can own a gym at a time.
4.2 Someone else claimed my gym
If you are the real-world owner of a gym that has been claimed by another user, please email [email protected] with proof of ownership (for example, a photo of your KvK registration or business license matching the gym name and address). We will review the case and may transfer ownership at our discretion.
4.3 Coach profile and premium
To set up a coach profile, switch your role to "Coach" or "Both" in Settings → Edit Profile. To appear in the public coach directory, you'll need a Coach Premium subscription. Without it, your coach profile is still active but won't be listed publicly.
4.4 Add a gym that's missing from Clinchr
On the gym search screen, tap "Add a new gym" to register a gym yourself. Provide the name, address, and a city. You may also import basic information from Google Places.
5. Workouts & Data
5.1 Workouts not syncing
Clinchr stores up to 50 workouts offline if you log them without a connection. Workouts sync automatically once you're back online. If a workout doesn't appear after reconnecting, force-close and reopen the app to trigger sync. If the issue persists, please contact us.
5.2 Import workouts from Strava
From Settings → Connect Strava, authorize Clinchr to read your Strava activities. You can then import boxing and fitness workouts from the Strava import screen. Imported workouts are visually distinct and are excluded from gym leaderboards to ensure fair competition.
5.3 Edit or delete a workout
Open the workout from your profile or feed, then use the menu to edit or delete it. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Safety, Reports & Blocking
6.1 Report a user, workout, or comment
Tap the menu (…) on any feed post, profile, workout detail, or comment to report inappropriate content. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Repeated violations can result in account suspension or removal.
6.2 Block a user
Open the user's profile and tap "Block." Blocked users cannot see your workouts, send you friend requests, comment on your content, or appear in your leaderboards. You can manage your block list from Settings → Privacy.
6.3 Report a security vulnerability
If you've discovered a security vulnerability, please email [email protected] with the subject line "Security report" and a description of the issue. Please do not disclose the vulnerability publicly until we've had a chance to address it.
7. Technical Issues
7.1 The app crashes or freezes
Try the following steps in order:
- Force-close Clinchr and reopen it
- Make sure your app is up to date on the App Store or Play Store
- Restart your device
- If the issue persists, reinstall the app (your data is stored in the cloud and will not be lost)
If none of that helps, please email [email protected] with your device model, OS version, app version, and a description of when the crash happens.
7.2 Push notifications not working
Make sure notifications are enabled for Clinchr in your device's system settings. You can also check notification preferences in Settings → Notifications inside the app.
7.3 Location or nearby gym search not working
Clinchr asks for coarse location only to power the nearby gym feature. If you previously denied this permission, enable "Location" for Clinchr in your device settings.
